Bulldogs bred by us did well
at the Finnish Top Bulldog 2009 competition

Patsy (INT & NORD & FI & SE & DK & NO CH NOW-08 Wheelback's African Queen) was top bulldog bitch in Finland in 2009. Patsy is owned by Ulla and Eero Karri. Patsy is a true prima donna, who likes showing herself when she is in the mood for dog shows. This is when she gets the full attention in the show ring. She loves all kind of trophees, and is very happy when she has some to bring back home from the show ring. Patsy is the daughter of FIN & S & EST CH Jewbull's American Pie and NORD & S & N CH Roseneath Masquerader.

Patsy's mother Bessie (FIN & S & EST CH Jewbull's American Pie) was top veteran bulldog bitch in 2009. We are very proud of her, she is nine years old and still going strong. She moves very well, but doesn't care much for dog shows, she never has. She loves to sit on the sofa at home and to be cuddled. But it's nice to show her sometimes in the veteran rings as she moves still very well. Bessie is the daughter of Bondabull Lapland Gold and FIN CH EUVW-06 Omajlav Press One's Luck.

Bertta (Wheelback's Cajun Queen) was top bulldog puppy in 2009. We own Bertta together with Viivi Alaluusua and Lassi Johansson. Viivi shows Bertta very professionally and has shown Bertta succesfully in many dog shows also outside Finland. Bertta was BIS puppy at the international Dracula show in Rumania in 2009. Since entering the junior class Bertta has already earned the titles of Baltic, Estonian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Belarussian and Russian Junior Champion. Bertta is the daughter of FI & LV & LT & BY & RU CH Wheelback's Be Happy and Brampton's Mr Jackson. She is also Patsy's granddaughter and Bessie's great granddaughter.

Top bulldog male puppy in 2009 was Bertta's brother Brutus (Wheelback's Mr Chips). We own Brutus together with Maiju Rutanen. Brutus is a very self-confident, happy boy, who is maturing slowly and has not been much shown in the junior class.

Our lovely boy Roli (INT & NORD & NO & FI & SE CH Brampton Tug Tough) was second best bulldog male. He has been among top bulldogs in Finland for several years now. It is a great pleasure to own him, and we are very happy that we had the possibility to import him to Finland from Terry and Angela Davison's well-respected Brampton kennel in UK. Roli has been very important for our breeding work, as he is the grandfather of Bertta and Brutus and father of two handsome bulldog boys, who did also quite well in the top bulldog competition last year.

Nemo (FI CH Wheelback's Brave Boy) was 6th best bulldog male in Finland in 2009. Nemo has matured quite slowly, and it has taken time for him to learn show manners as he has been a "free spirit" at home. However, as he is a handsome boy, it is nice to show him sometimes in the rings. Nemo is owned by Juha Kejonen and Iira Pilto. Nemo is the son of Roli and Patsy.

Burt ( FI & EE & UA & LV CH Wheelback's Big Easy) was eight best bulldog male in 2009. Burt hasn't been shown very much, and became Finnish Champion only last August. But he did it with style being BOB bulldog and second best male in the group competiton for FCI group 2! No wonder his handler Viivi almost burts to tears in the show ring! Burt is owned by Heidi Sipponen.

We are very happy that bulldogs bred by us did so well in the show rings last year. It is nice to see bulldogs of four generations in the same show rings. We hope that the good genes of Bessie will be passed on to the generations to come.
