Hali is a long-time dream come true of her owner, Lauri Rostedt. He had owned and bred hunting dogs for 30 years, but always dreamed of owning a bulldog. As a school boy he had a biology teacher, Mrs Paula Vuori, who bred bulldogs under the affix of Kekäle. At her time Mrs Vuori was a well-known breeder, who bred quality bulldogs and also imported bulldogs from England.

Hali lives in Espoo. She gets well on with the family's two Finnish Hounds. She also likes to go hunting and fishing with Lauri, and enjoys camping in the forest by fire. Her special hobby is to herd the hound dogs. So Lauri suspects, that bulldogs may have been herding dogs in the breed's early days. When she was a puppy, Hali was the one who always lured the other puppies into fooling around and doing all kinds of puppy tricks. Hali surely is the "leader of the pack".

Hali also likes to take rides with Lauri as long as she can sit wherever she wants to. Hali occasionally attends dog shows, and she likes them too, both in the show ring and ringside. Especially fun is to show herself to hunting friends of Lauri as they do not always understand the purpose of a dog like the bulldog. And Hali doesn't always understand the purpose of dog shows. She thinks that it is enough that she attends the shows, but does also she really have to please the judge?
